What Can I Do To Prevent Bruising All Over?

Bruising is a nasty thing and some of us will be far more affected by bruising than others. Bruising can happen particularly as we age and our skin becomes less protected. Bruising is far from a risk to your health. However, they are not things that people enjoy getting and therefore there are things that can be done to prevent them. So, what can i do to prevent bruising altogether? well, there are several things that you might want to try.

First of all make sure that you guard your vulnerable areas as much as you can. Wear protective clothing anywhere where you bruise easily. Wear long sleeves arms and trousers in order to protect any exposed areas. Ask your doctor about any sort of protective options for those areas where you are most at risk. In addition, keep yourself away from harm as much as you can. If there any any things that you do that cause you to bruise, make sure that you avoid them as much as possible.

Something else that can cause you to bruise easily is a lack of vitamin K. If you do not get enough of this vitamin, the blood can fail to clot properly. If you are prone to bruising then you should ensure that you take in more green vegetables which are high in the vitamin. Things like broccoli and cabbage are great options to incorporate into your diet.

Bruising can also be as a result of a lack of vitamin C. You should therefore make sure that you get as much of this into your diet as you can by eating lots of different fruits and drinking lots of fruit juice. A multivitamin supplement is a great way of making sure that you get your entire daily quota of vitamins in one go.

In you find that you have got a bruise from whatever reason, you should look to take steps in order to clear it up as soon as possible. One way of doing this is by using arnica cream and rubbing it into the bruise several times each day.

Hydrotherapy is a great way of treating your bruises when you do get them. You should get hold of two cloths and soak on in hot water and one in cold water. You should then apply the warm towel to your bruise for about three minutes and then take it off and put the cold one on the affected area for about thirty seconds. You should look to repeat this process about four times.

Last of all, you can use a bit of aromatherapy. Get together the necessary oils and rub them lightly into the skin. Then wrap a bandage over the area nice and loosely.

These are the sorts of things that you can do to both prevent and treat bruises.

In many cases their are many that bruise easier then others and to get help to prevent bruising from happening could be done through bruise treatment.
